For the money these seem very good. I bought a size up from usual and the fit is good. They can be a little tight around the ankle if wearing over leather trousers but there's enough adjustment to take most of the pressure off. I've not personally tested these in rain, but my son borrowed them and his feet remained dry. On the whole I'm pretty happy with them.
