These boots are robust, stiff, thick leather, I expected to take at least 6 months to wear them in to any degree of compliance but within minutes of setting off, I rarely even noticed the difference from my regular soft boots. A little thick for 'feeling' neutral but the big green neutral light resolved that. Looking forward to a lifetime of service, these are built.

Shoei Neotec 3 – First Ride Review After my HJC RPHA 91 Carbon was written off when I was rear-ended, I replaced it with the Shoei Neotec 3. Having now taken it out for a proper ride, my first impressions are very positive. It's quiet, comfortable and feels premium, making it a promising choice for everyday commuting. The fit is snug without being uncomfortable. I initially noticed some pressure around my temples when biting down, but discovered the neck roll had been tucked in incorrectly. After correcting that, the pressure was almost completely gone. It also handled some pretty heavy rain brilliantly, which is particularly important for my all-weather commuting. My only real criticism so far is that the visor is a little fiddly to remove and refit. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something Shoei could make easier. I'll need more time to judge ventilation and long-term comfort, but after my first proper ride, I'm very happy with the choice. Verdict: A quiet, comfortable, premium helmet that handled a proper British downpour with ease. The awkward visor removal is my only niggle so far.

The Pama Ridecast is not a GPS, your phone is. Having said that, it links to the phone really well, there is no lag time and is easy to set up. I fitted it to my management system for easy access and apart from the fact it takes a while to open, once it is and you have set your phone's maps, you get on your bike and go. It shows everything your phone shows. Costly but, works well
