The Alpinestars CR-X Drystar Riding Motorcycle Shoes have been designed to be versatile to wear all day for walking, but to be equally as effective for riding. They offer comfort and protection and feature a Drystar waterproof and breathable membrane to keep your feet dry and comfortable whatever the weather! These have been designed with a sole unit 'DROP' (or, the off-set between heel and toe) is set at 9 mm (many running shoes have a 9 mm drop) to ensure a smooth heel-to-toe transition when walking with an EVA midsole. Forefoot Flex grooves in the midsole provide enhanced forefoot comfort (the grooves promote flexing in the forefoot area) and a lightweight inner bootie (a removable Ortholite insock) with open cell PU compound prevents overheating making these ultra-comfortable with a minimal design. The CR-X Drystar shoes offer premium levels of protection with full-length TPU inner sole plate and hidden asymmetric lateral and medial TPU ankle discs for superior riding protection and a TPU layer at the gear change area plus these are CE approved to EN 13634:2017 (protective footwear for motorcyclists) All this protection doesn't mean you have to compromise on comfort. The tongue with bellows construction has been designed to remain in position when riding for a snug, secure fit while an internal EVA layer sandwiched between outer and inner materials reduces pressure on the foot in the gear shift area. The asymmetric outsole stud configuration gives excellent levels of grip and abrasion resistance plus this is made from oil resistant dual rubber compound.
