Scott Ergonomic Pro DP Rain Jacket Olive Green

Bought to replace an existing one. Apparently they are discontinued so find one on offer in an alternative colour (not the usual black or dayglow) was a real steal. They are bombproof, watertight and a bit stretchy with a crotch strap preventing riding up. Existing one still going strong so existing black one now being used as a back up. Not used J&S before but no gripes or complaints. Easy to use and happy to use again.

At last a jacket that is totally waterproof and has a couple of real world useful features. I prefer to wear my gloves inside my jacket & the Scott elasticated cuff allows me to do this with ease. Sorting out your second glove/cuff with your already gloves other hand can be done without problems. I would say the cut is very generous so I would suggest sticking with your normal size (ie no need to size up to allow for body armour/layers etc). My medium/40 jacket fits over my body armour and a down jacket with room to spare. I don’t mind the lack of features/pockets etc as I prefer the waterproof integrity of a simple jacket. The neck has an elasticated draw cord which is useful for a snug fit. Note that the cord is located at the back of the neck and does flap around and taps on your helmet at speed which could be annoying. The stretch of the jacket helps greatly with the fit as it is not too restrictive like other less flexible jackets. Also I would say that the jacket is an odd/unusual cut with excess room for a ‘beer belly’ which I don’t have. Overall I think it’s a great piece of kit for a very reasonable price (at this discounted price of £49.99).
