Cheshire Ride Out

cropped-alex-blog.jpg

Can you believe its February already!?! While it is freezing at the moment and winds are battering most of the British Isles, the good news is that with each and every day that passes we're one day closer to the motorcycle season!! Every now and then there are glimpses of sunshine bursting through those rainclouds!

So, with this in mind, I am going to give you a selection of ride-outs throughout the year, and the country, for you bikers to enjoy. This first one is to our Oakmere branch – which is the biggest motorcycle clothing superstore in the UK at 32,000 square feet PLUS a motorcycle showroom!

This ride-out should last 1.5-2 hours depending how leisurely you're feeling but takes in some of the best roads in Cheshire for bikers!

As a lot of our customers tend to come to Oakmere from all around the North West (with a café, bike show room, huge selection of motorcycle clothing and accessories, not to mention the top quality staff (ahem) who can blame them?) I thought I would start one from Greater Manchester first to be exact just off Junction 8 of the M60 in Urmston. Obviously you can join or add to it should you need to but here is the ride-out:

M60 Jct8 Urmston, Right on A6144 Carrington Lane

Heatley jct A6144 with B159 Mill Lane

Take Mill Lane across crossroads at A56 and turn left onto A50 at High Legh.

Left on A556

Right to Swan Hotel Bucklow Hill, Knutsford

Turn round and into Knutsford and turn left at the station on A537 signposted Macclesfield.

At roundabout, Broken Cross Macclesfield, take 3rd exit and then turn immediately right into Pexhill  Road.

Across staggered crossroads, B5392 Lower Withington

Left. A535 Holmes Chapel

At Somerford Booths turn Left into Sandy Lane.

Turn right onto A534, then next left to Brownlow.

At crossroads turn left and then at T junction turn left onto A 34.

Turn right at Astbury Green, and continue past the church.

Upon reaching the major road turn right.

Proceed across the traffic lights to jct A523 at Rushton Spencer

Turn left

At Bosley traffic lights, turn left.

At Congleton, follow signs for A534 Sandbach

At Arclid traffic lights turn right on A50 to Homes Chapel

After Holmes Chapel turn left on B5082 signposted Northwich.

Turn left onto A556 Northwich bypass, through Sandiway, and on to Delamere

Arrive at J&S Accessories Oakmere (Northwich) on the left.

If you do get lost from my directions (this is proven so worry not!) we do always sell Sat Navs! Just in case!

I will be doing more ride-outs but if you have any good ride-outs that you think others would like then feel free to send them to me at: alex.johnson@jsaccessories.net – or if you have any requests from specific areas we can put our biker knowledge of the Great British roads and recommend routes for you. Just get in touch! If you also fancy writing a blog or have content ideas just drop me an e-mail – you can get credit or you can even be anonymous if you'd prefer! Any blog content contributors will automatically be entered in to our weekly prize draw – so what are you waiting for?
