Ben.Z.S Bike Night - 21st Aug

Hello and welcome to Alex's Blog. There are just a few days to go until the Ben.Z.S bike day/night on Sunday August 21st at our J&S Accessories Oakmere store. This is also a bike show. If you do choose to enter your bike please be aware you need to be here before 12 noon to do so.

The prizes on offer for the top 6 bikes are a £10 gift voucher, 2 x Silkolene Fuchs Off Bike Wash, 2 x Silkolene Pro Chain 100ml and a Bell Helmet Holdall (limited edition). The overall winner will get a £100 J&S Accessories Ltd Gift Voucher. The best bikes prizes will be revealed at 3pm. The event is free of charge and open to all so come on down! You don't need to show a bike you can just come down and check out the exhibits on show and the great deals that we have to offer.

Now on to something completely unrelated:

This is David Stokes, a customer from our Maidstone branch that we sponsored a few months ago with some Frank Thomas H20325 Tempest tour black boots and the Frank Thomas FT6 Castor gloves black. He has done a 3000 mile round trip on his Honda CB125F and has been through France, Spain, Portugal and Morocco. He has done this purely on sponsorship and with our help he has achieved this trip in 5 weeks, 4 oil changes and services on the way, “Ride Magazine” helped him with hostels and 5* Hotels and he also relied on his wiles. In other news we have received a big delivery this week of Bell SX-1 Motocross helmets. The Bell SX-1 MX motorcycle helmet is a motocross off-road helmet constructed from a lightweight Polycarbonate shell. Also I just want to a do a quick shout out and well done to Katie Archibald who is now an Olympic Gold medallist along with Elinor Barker, Joanna Rowsell-Shand and Laura Trott for the women's team pursuit in cycling. Katie was criticised earlier this year for getting injured whilst riding her motorbike in "wet conditions" and was actually removed from the squad for a short while because of this. She went on to recover from the crash which saw her rupture a posterior cruciate ligament and fracture her elbow in time to get back in to the squad and achieve a Gold medal in Rio. Biking is obviously in Katie's blood (both cycling and motorcycling) and I for one would like to wish this fellow biker a hearty well done and congratulations from all of us at J&S Accessories Ltd! Katie - if you're reading this you know where to come for your kit now.....not just wet weather stuff either! That also goes for all of our Team GB Olympians.....but especially the motorcyclist ones!
