J&S Accessories Oakmere Bike Night For Mental Health Motorbike

Mental Health Motorbike Bike Night
Mental Health Motorbike Bike Night

On Wednesday, June 21st, we held a bike night at our flagship J&S Accessories Oakmere store to raise money for the fantastic cause Mental Health Motorbike.

For those who don't know about this fantastic charity, Mental Health Motorbike exists to create meaningful opportunities so that together we grow the greater wellbeing of the motorbike community. Their ultimate aim is to reduce suicide amongst bikers in the UK. They are building a free, dedicated national network of trained mental health first aiders who can support bikers and their families across the UK.

Our bike nights are free to attend, but we make an effort each one to raise money for a charity relevant to our client base. We hold a raffle with all prices donated for free so that every penny goes to that chosen charity on the night.

The Mental Health Motorbike team came to support and spread the word about their fantastic work, and we raised money as well as awareness.

It wasn't just Mental Health Motorbike who came to the bike night, Merseyside & Cheshire Blood Bikes came along to raise awareness and volunteers for the Spinal Injuries Association came selling tickets for the Big Raffle - which are also available in J&S Accessories stores nationwide

It wasn't just great causes coming to support; Feridax - the UK supplier of Shoei Helmets were in attendance servicing customers' Shoei helmets. Putoline came, as always, with free helmet cleaning, showcasing just how good their helmet cleaner is! Our very own Allan showcased the Alpinestars Tech-Air system with a demo airbag, plus the Oakmere Motor Group brought along a Norton Commando as they are now Norton dealers.

Fourways Cafe and Grill, the onsite cafe, was open for brews and something to eat, with all their picnic tables outside (and in!) full of bikers having a great time.

The weather was threatening rain; in fact, it had rained earlier in the day - but the weather gods blessed us with GLORIOUS weather.

It wasn't just the weather that was great; the atmosphere was genuinely lovely. A really friendly night where bikers came together for a good chat, a look at each other's bikes and gave support for the biking community. Thank you to everyone who came to support us - we really appreciate it.

Our next bike night at J&S Accessories Oakmere, and the LAST OF THE SEASON - is on Wednesday, August 30th 5-8 pm in aid of the Spinal Injuries Association. Please come along and show your support and bring your pennies and your friends!

Until next time, stay safe,

Alex
