Ride To Work Week 2016
Hello! And welcome back to Alex's Blog! We are taking a little hiatus from Adrian's Restoration project this week but this should be back next week. In the meantime Garry from J&S Accessories Birmingham has kindly given us a review of one of our best selling jackets - the Frank Thomas FTW350 Full Force Aqua 2 Jacket - and it seems it is one of our best sellers for a reason as Garry will tell you later on in the blog!
Firstly I just want to celebrate Ride to Work Week! This is a national campaign to encourage more bikers to ditch the car for the week and ride to work - not only does it get you there quicker but its a lot more fun! Here are a few of our stores who are participating this week:

Our major news as a company this week is that we opened up our brand new store - our 27th - J&S Accessories Uckfield! Liam and the team opened up on Saturday and have so far been busy! The shop is rather vast as you can see from the photos and is packed full of brand new stock, all set up, ready for you to go and explore! Conveniently located behind a petrol station with lots of local eateries nearby, why not head out there for a ride out this weekend? Go on! You know you want to.

Now on to Garry's review!
We are starting a new feature in the blog once in a while of staff reviews. We have a lot of staff in our 27 stores who actually wear and use a lot of our products - so we thought it would be useful for you, as a consumer, to read reviews from people who actually use these products day in day out and actually know what they are talking about! So here is the first one:
"I work at the Birmingham store, and I use my motorcycle to commute to work almost everyday. I live approximately 30 miles away so I wanted motorcycle kit that I knew would stand up to the daily use I give it.
Working at J&S Accessories, the choice I have to choose from when I need to purchase motorcycle clothing or accessories just can not be beaten by anybody so I looked through our whole range of jackets and tried on just about every jacket I liked the look of. In the end the jacket I chose was the Frank Thomas FTW350 Full Force Aqua 2 Jacket in black. I chose it for many reasons, firstly cost!
This jacket is such great value. It also has a robust construction, reflective strips across large parts of the jacket (visibility is key to me when using the motorway daily) adjustable bicep straps, loads of pockets, but most of all venting. This has four vents on the front of the jacket and two exhaust vents on the rear of the jacket which, when opened, all work really well. I especially like this jacket because in the winter I found with the inner liner in the jacket (I take it out for the rest of the year) is that it's very warm. The jacket is waterproof and in just over three years I have never got wet whilst wearing it – and it has definitely rained a lot on those three years!
Another added feature is that on the backside area there is large pocket, in which I store my throw over lightweight trousers, I regularly clean the jacket in the washing machine on a hand cycle wash program using only Nikwax cleaning products. The only other thing I did with this jacket was to remove the standard armour that came with the jacket and upgraded all the amour with Forcefield products which I found to be a better and softer fit."
