Grace 's Amazing Machines

Grace, from Cbeebies' "Grace's Amazing Machines" paid us a visit to our J&S Accessories Oakmere superstore. Those of you with young children may be especially familiar with Grace Webb from her show on CBBC and CBeebies, her YouTube channel, or from her other presenting work.

For those of you not familiar with Grace's work (you should be) she is from race circuit royalty - the granddaughter of Tom Wheatcroft - founder of Donington Park. She also presents on BBC's Bitesize and was a presenter on Motors TV.

The programme Grace's Amazing Machines involves test-riding and test-driving some of the world's greatest and unusual bikes, cars, quads - you name it, she's tested it!

As Grace rides as a full-time job we wanted to make sure she was safe for all styles of riding. We invited her to our huge superstore in Oakmere, Northwich (round the corner from Oulton Park in Cheshire) to have a good try-on session as we wanted her to choose the kit that would be best for her and make sure it fits correctly! What better place to do it than in the 32,000 square ft J&S showroom?

After a rather exhaustive trying on session, ably assisted by Christian from J&S, Grace chose the kit she wanted. Here is the kit she selected:

BKS Brandy Ladies Leather Motorcycle Jacket

Available in a choice of black and brown and also in men's and ladies sizes, the BKS Brandy motorcycle jacket is a fantastic jacket that looks good on or off the bike. Made from highly supple cowhide, this also features CE approved armour at the shoulders and elbows as well as a removable thermal liner for use in all seasons. Grace went for the ladies version in black.

Red Route Becky Ladies denim jeans

Designed to look like a casual jean, the Red Route Becky denim motorcycle jeans offer hidden protection with aramid lining in key areas and CE approved armour at the knees. Highly durable and very comfortable, the Becky jeans are great for everyday riding.

Red Route Sophia denim jeans

Grace chose the Red Route Sophia jeans for a more casual look. Red Route Sophia denim jeans feature a distressed-look denim construction. The denim is NOT compromised and the protective aramid is underneath the outer layer making these highly protective and durable despite the "distressed" look. Grace chose the Sophia jeans for a more casual look.

BKS Dakota 1 Piece Suit

For sports racing protection for track-use, Grace chose the BKS Dakota ladies leather motorcycle suit. Unbeatable for fit, the BKS Dakota was designed by female bikers to fit all body shapes well and offer fantastic protection with CE approved armour throughout. Long stretch panels throughout the suit give great freedom of movement as well as fantastic fit. Available in a choice of colours, Grace chose the black and white colourway (Pictured).

BKS Denim Ladies Gloves

The Spring/Summer gloves that Grace chose were the BKS Denim Ladies Motorcycle gloves (also available in a men's version). This short-cuff motorcycle glove is made from denim and leather with hard knuckle protectors and added padding in key areas.

BKS Urban WP Boots

The BKS Urban WP boots are a unisex waterproof trainer-style shoe with added protection. Available in a choice of colours, these look great on or off the bike and are extremely comfortable!

BKS Roxy Jacket

An incredibly comfortable jacket, the BKS Roxy jacket is made from soft textile with aramid protection woven in through the entire shell of the jacket. CE approved armour at the elbows and shoulders complete the protection and this is fully machine washable. It's no surprise this is a best-seller here at J&S Accessories and for good reason!

BKS Roxy Leggings

Matching leggings to the BKS Roxy Jacket, the BKS Roxy Jeans also feature CE approved armour at the knees and woven Aramid all through the whole trousers. Supremely comfortable with added stretch throughout for freedom of movement (on the jacket too).

Frank Thomas FT-51 Winter Ladies Gloves

For Winter sports riding, Grace selected the Frank Thomas FT-51 Winter ladies gloves. Made from a highly protective leather and textile, these also feature hard armour at the knuckles and fingers as well as double stitching throughout. A comfort padded lining provides extra-warmth for Winter. A summer version is also available.

We happen to think that Grace chose very wisely and could not be more delighted that she has chosen to wear our products! You can catch her on CBeebies and on the BBC iPlayer and you should spot her in her new kit in her next series!
