Safety

The Copper V2 jeans are CE-certified to CE Category A, PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 with Bio-Flex armour at the knees and triple-stitched seams for peace of mind. A reflective turn-up hem is handy for the road for maximum visibility without detracting from the casual styling of the jean. Stretch Aramidic fibre inserts in crucial areas (inside) provide added abrasion resistance without making the jeans bulky. Hip armour can be added easily thanks to ready-made pockets.

Comfort

Not only do the Copper V2 jeans provide excellent protection and styling, but they are the triple threat as they are comfortable too! Stretch throughout provides freedom of movement for extremely comfortable wear. The open inseam at the ankle gives versatility for footwear and comfort. The knee armour is removable for when you're off the bike. Belt loops mean you can wear this with your usual belt. The denim isn't stiff to the touch like some can be. The denim is soft and comfortable, along with the Aramidic fabric in the lining - it isn't rough or stiff, yet still highly protective. The legs are ergonomically pre-curved for maximum comfort in the riding position.

Practicality

Most of the practical features have been listed above such as belt loops, reflective turn-ups at the hem and removable armour. The Copper V2 is also machine washable (just follow the instructions) and functions equally as successfully as motorcycle jeans as casual jeans. Negatives

They are not waterproof. Not that you thought they would be. There is also no connection zip. One criticism is that even though they are CE certified, they are "only" CE level A - but this isn't a rarity. If you're looking for the highest level of protection then you'd be going for racing level leather pants. You know what you're getting into with Denim - and for denim jeans, these are highly protective.

Verdict

You are never going to go wrong with Alpinestars. The Copper V2 motorcycle jeans are incredibly stylish and protective. You can wear them to the pub, park or pits and they will do you proud.
