BKS Tomahawk

BKS has released the Tomahawk jacket - brand new for 2021. Exclusive to J&S Accessories Ltd, let's have a look at it, shall we?
Safety
The Tomahawk features removable CE approved armour at the shoulders and elbows plus a pocket for a back protector. Made from premium cowhide, the Tomahawk is highly durable with lighter stripes on the arms for added visibility.

Styling
Unusually for a leather jacket in the motorcycle world, the BKS Tomahawk jacket is designed for casual wear. It can transition from the bike to the street very easily - then back again. White stripes on the arms bring a retro sporty feel to the jacket, while a hood adds an extra casual element. The zips are all antique brass coloured to further enhance the retro aesthetic. The tartan lining completes the casual vibe.
Comfort
The lining is truly comfortable, as well as fashionable. A removable hood means you can use this when its cold off the bike, but take off when you're riding to prevent it flapping in the wind! Adjustability at the waist, cuffs and collar give you a great fit - and these can be adjusted for riding and then changed for when you're just walking.

Practicality
A number of zipped pockets provide ample storage for your essentials. The fact that you can remove the hood is a great practical feature, plus it folds down small for easy transportation. The zips are ultra-durable YKK zips and there is a zip to attach to trousers should you wish.
Negatives
The hood isn't for everyone. Luckily the hood is removable and can be lost should you wish. The stripes and retro aesthetic also isn't for everyone either. As this is a casual style jacket, the rear isn't excessively long like a sports jacket, which can mean some wind ingress. You can attach to pants to solve any unwanted drafts though. The shorter back does mean the Tomahawk transitions to a casual jacket well.

Verdict
The Tomahawk is a great versatile jacket for use on or off the bike. Made from great quality leather, the Tomahawk is stylish, comfortable and practical. Definitely worth a look.
Until next time, stay safe,
