Safety

The Caberg Avalon motorcycle helmet is ECE certified with a hi-impact resistant polycarbonate shell that is ultra-protective without being bulky. The micrometric buckle is ultra-secure yet adjustable.

Styling

Available in a wide range of colours and designs, there is something for everyone, from plain more muted colours to extreme neon graphics. The spoiler on the helmet and angular chin give an aggressive styling that not only offers excellent streamlining and looks great.

Comfort

The interior of the Avalon is fully removable and washable to keep you fresh. It weighs 1600g (medium), so it is not heavy and comes in two shell sizes to prevent buffeting and promote aerodynamics. The ventilation system is effective and easy to use, with two sealable upper intake vents, a lower chin vent and a rear exhaust for superior air circulation. The micrometric buckle closure system provides a secure and personalised fit.

Practicality

The two shell sizes give extra comfort for both ends of the sizing scale, and the removable and washable interior is a practical feature. The interior also features recesses for communication systems for a handy addition. The transparent outer visor offers FogCity Go anti-fog treatment and is anti-scratch treated for longevity. The visor is very easy to change, plus Caberg's central locking system for visors is a great addition - it keeps it in place securely for your peace of mind. The Caberg Avalon helmet also comes with a drop-down internal sun visor to prevent sun glare that is operated using a button on the side to slide it down – easy to use wearing gloves. The ventilation system can be fully personalised to your specifications easily.

Negatives

The Caberg Avalon does not come with a Pinlock insert – this isn’t a problem, you can pick them up easily, but this does go against it. The visor catches and can stick occasionally, so watch that you don’t force it – if you’re aware of this, you shouldn’t do any damage. The internal sun visor can be a little stiff sometimes, but this is just us searching for something negative to say!

Verdict

The Caberg Avalon motorcycle helmet is a good-looking helmet with some really great features, yes, it doesn’t come with a Pinlock, but it boasts many more features that make up for it – plus the visor has FogCity Go anti-fog treatment built-in.
