The Dainese Dolomiti Gore-Tex motorcycle jacket has just been reduced here at J&S Accessories Ltd. It has been a big hit with our customers but is it any good? Let's take a look:

Safety

As the Dainese Dolomiti jacket is fully CE approved, you can rest assured you're protected. It features a removable CE approved armour at the shoulders and elbows give impact protection, plus pockets for back and chest protectors. Made from extremely durable Duratex fabric (the clue is in the name there!) the Dolomiti offers D-Stone reinforcement crucial areas.

Styling

This jacket can be worn both in the Himalayas and on the M6. Styled for adventure-touring, the Dolomiti jacket also comes in a >variety of unusual colour combinations. A lot of motorcycle jackets are plain black or black with hints of colour. Dainese has been bold with their colour choices - making this jacket stand out from its counterparts. Clever work from Dainese also means that the logos are reflective for a better aesthetic that doesn't clutter the jacket design.

Practicality

The Dainese Dolomiti Gore-Tex motorcycle jacket features a 3-layer construction with four different configurations for use all-year-round. A fully waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex liner makes this suitable for all climates and seasons. The Gore-Tex and thermal fleece lining are removable. Resealable ventilation zips and vents provide superior airflow when required. The fit on the Dolomiti is superb thanks to extensive adjustability throughout - giving you the perfect personalised fit. A full attachment zip to matching trousers prevents wind ingress and a plethora of pockets (inside, outside and in each layer) gives plenty of practical storage for all types of adventures.

Comfort

This has many options to tailor to different conditions but also to personal preferences. The high-levels of adjustability all through the jacket mean that the Dolomiti can be personalised to fit any body type. Due to the combination of high levels of adjustability and the renowned Dainese premium build quality, this will fit everyone WELL. The fact that you can remove layers also enhances the comfort levels, but each jacket is designed to fit well and feels good for a more comfortable ride. Even the cuffs and collar are made from a softer material to prevent irritation next to your skin.

Negatives

It is quite the irony that one of the main plus points about this jacket is actually its main point of contention. While it is absolutely fantastic that this jacket is so versatile thanks to the different removable layers, it can also be a bit of a hindrance. Three sets of front zips to do up can seem a bit cumbersome and definitely isn't convenient when time is of the essence. Dainese is very intelligent in their design work and it seems that the three different sets of zips are a bit of an oversight from the design department. This is the only flaw in an otherwise fantastic jacket, and let's face it, a few seconds more to do your jacket up isn't exactly a deal-breaker! Especially when this is such a great price!

Verdict

There is no doubt that the Dainese Dolomiti is a fantastic jacket. Suitable for all seasons, all shapes and sizes and all preferences. It is of premium quality and looks the part too. The design and colourways available are also dissimilar to the majority of motorcycle jackets available for sale, which makes it a unique and even more of a reason to give it consideration - that along with the new J&S price!
