Safety

The Fox Racing Comp MX boots feature one lower instinct buckle and two upper ActiveLock straps to provide the perfect balance of support, flexibility, and security. For added protection, the Comp MX boots have full TPU plating on the shin plate, calf guard, heel cap, and toe box.

A rubber outsole and an internal steel shank give the boot exceptional grip and support on the footpegs. Rubber guards and broader surface area give increased grip on the bike. These are also tall for added protection to the lower legs.

Negatives

The ActiveLock straps are designed to snap in the event of an impact for premium safety but don't be careless when locking/unlocking. These can be a little fragile without due care and attention. The sizing on the Fox Racing Comp boots can also be awkward. Go a size above if you're in between sizes and keep in mind what socks you'll be wearing when you do buy. If you have bigger calves and struggle with boots to fit you then these are not the boots for you. They aren't just for exceptionally skinny people, but any bigger than average and they won't be comfortable.
