CE certified to Class-AA with CE approved armour at the shoulders and elbows, the Frank Thomas Legacy jacket is made from highly durable Cordura. As the Legacy is adjustable throughout, the armour will always be in the perfect position for every wearer for maximum safety. Reflective detailing provides optimum night visibility and it also features a pocket for a back protector.

Styling

This highly versatile jacket is packed full of great features, but the aesthetic hasn't been sacrificed. With a  choice of five different colour palettes , the Legacy jacket certainly has something for everyone. From the more muted black colour to fluorescent designs. The reflective detailing is skilfully incorporated into the design with the well-known Frank Thomas V logo emblazoned at the rear and subtly placed on the chest. Because the Legacy is an adventure touring jacket this has a three-quarter length styling and multiple handy pockets. The plethora of pockets are camouflaged into the design so they don't look too cumbersome.

Comfort

This features adjustability throughout for a highly personalised fit with welded zips at the outer pockets to prevent water ingress. The highly versatile layer system means this jacket can work for you in any situation you want. You want to keep warm, but you don't need to keep dry? You can take out the waterproof membrane, want to keep dry but it's too hot? Just take the quilted lining out, want to keep cool? Remove them all! The Legacy jacket also has a sophisticated ventilation system with exhausts integrated into the design for a highly effective circulation with zips and vents to tailor to your requirements. YKK zips are used throughout and this also features a zip to attach to Frank Thomas trousers for superior comfort and to prevent wind/weather ingress. A neoprene collar and cuff ends offer added comfort.

Practicality

Where to start? The Legacy jacket is packed full of great practical features. The layer system with removable inner jackets, the mesh lining to keep you fresh, the waterproof welded zip pockets, the adjustability throughout for a truly personalised fit. And more! Each layer has pockets plus the rear map pocket can also hold essential items. The comprehensive ventilation system makes the Legacy compatible with adventure riding in any weather, with optimum air circulation for high levels of movement. A 360-degree zip attaches to  matching FT trousers  should you wish. The Legacy is also available in a  ladies' version .

Negatives

A fantastic feature of the Frank Thomas Legacy jacket is the variety of colour options. Each is very different to the next. One negative is that there are no matching trousers available in these colours. There is also not an actual Frank Thomas Legacy trouser. The intended match is the  Frank Thomas Rally trouser . Another minus point is the women's version is only available in the  black colourway .

Verdict

For £149.99 you get a lot of jacket for your money. The diverse colour options make this stand out from other jackets in this price range, while the many features it possesses make it truly versatile for all conditions and riders.
