Safety

A waterproof rainsuit isn't classically a safety item, as this is designed to be worn over your armoured kit, but the hi-viz fluorescent yellow is definitely in the remit of "be safe, be seen" The black version, although admittedly less noticeable on the road than a bright yellow suit, does have reflective detailing to give added visibility at night.

Styling

Again, a rainsuit will never be a catwalk item - its designed to keep you dry on your bike. The design is a simple one, plain coloured with subtle Frank Thomas branding with handy reflective detailing for added visibility.

Comfort

This has been designed to accomodate your armoured clothing underneath so is roomy enough for you to be able to move freely, but not billowing to impede your riding. Elastication at the waist, cuffs and leg openings mean this fits closer to you, but again, not too tightly to avoid "flapping" when you're going at higher speeds. The collar is adjustable and benefits from soft material on the inside. This is also, and most importantly, 100% waterproof which will also keep you comfortable in the rain!

Practicality

The Frank Thomas Monsoon WP oversuit comes with a handy bag to fold in to and store neatly. This is lightweight but durable and easy to transport. The zip entry/exit is long to give easy entry and exit and the legs have longer zips at the base to make this a cinch to get on/off whilst wearing your boots for quick changes in the rain. The zips are also welded to ensure no water ingress plus they are covered by a storm cover to make extra sure no water is getting in and, as discussed before, this has been designed to accomodate your armoured motorcycle clothing underneath so isn't restrictive.

Negatives

Its quite a hard task coming up with negatives on a perfectly functioning waterproof oversuit. Does it keep you dry? Yes. Is it easy to get on/off? Yes. Is it lightweight? Yes. Does it have elastication so it doesn't billow? Yes. Does it come with a bag? Yes. Maybe the only negative is that it is only available in a choice of two colours, but again, its a functional item designed to keep you dry, so not something you would be wearing all the time anyway (hopefully!).

Verdict

A great suit at a great price. Fully waterproof, lightweight yet durable and it even comes with a handy bag for easy transportation. Welded zips are a great addition and the design is well thought out for easy entry and exit when you need it the most without any billowing at top speeds.
