The Frank Thomas Review 1.0 Leather motorcycle gloves are brand new for 2020. With a bit of a bumpy start to 2020, we have finally got delivery of a lot of new stock and these have finally landed in all our stores and online! Let's do a review of the Frank Thomas Review 1.0 glove:

Safety

Even though the Frank Thomas Review 1.0 glove is a relatively cheap glove (RRP £39.99) they are CE approved and made from highly durable leather with textile mesh mix. Double stitching provides added impact resistance along with plastic protectors at the knuckles as well as plastic heel protectors on the palms. Grip at the palms gives you added confidence on the bike for a great feel. Padding on the fingers and thumbs also provide added protection.

Styling

One of the best things about the Frank Thomas Review 1.0 gloves is the choice of colours available. Its highly unusual to have this many colour options - seven! A colour for, pretty much, any colour palette! The Review gloves are a sporty short cuff glove with a racing styling. The armour is black so doesn't divert attention from the colourway. The contrasting colour is printed on in a subtle design with Frank Thomas V logo on the cuffs.

Comfort

The leather used on the Review gloves is soft and supple. The textile mesh in key areas also means the Frank Thomas Review gloves are ultra-lightweight. Elastication at the cuff along with adjustable hook and loop means these provide a variable size for a truly personalised fit. Accordion detailing provides great movement. Although provided for protection, the cushioned fingers and thumbs mean greater comfort too!

Practicality

Sports gloves are typically known for being too practical but the Frank Thomas Review 1.0 gloves do have some practical features. Added grip at the palm gives a better feel and padding on the thumb and fingers give added cushioning for impact resistance. Elastication and adjustability at the cuff give a truly personalised fit. Accordion detailing in key areas means greater movement. The Frank Thomas Review 1.0 gloves are made from a mix of leather and textile mesh. The leather is perforated to give greater air circulation - ideal for hot Summer days!

Negatives

If you're after a glove to use all year round then this is not the glove for you. The Review is not a good glove to use in Winter. Or in the rain. You can add inner gloves to make your hands a bit warmer but as they are perforated you will need to make sure you have a windproof lining too....and waterproof......basically you will need to get some touring gloves for any season other than Summer/a hot Spring day.

Verdict

For £40 the Frank Thomas Review 1.0 motorcycle gloves are a fantastic Summer sports glove. Lightweight and comfortable and available in a huge range of colours, you can't go wrong for a great sporty Summer glove.
