Safety

The Frank Thomas CE Robyn ladies' motorcycle boots are CE approved. They are made from premium quality leather and are double-stitched throughout for added impact resistance. To add to the supreme protection, the Frank Thomas Robyn boots have protection at the toe box, heel and ankle. Reflective detailing provides night visibility and the sole is an anti-slip, oil-resistant sole.

Styling

The Robyn boots were designed in collaboration with female bikers. A lot of women had contacted us saying they were unhappy with the range of ladies boots on offer. We asked what they wanted and were told a shorter style boot to eradicate calf-width problems and hidden stacked heels. Leather was also a requirement with lots of movement for comfort.

We managed to incorporate all these specifications in a touring style boot that is extremely lightweight despite the hidden height inside the boot. Despite all the practical features of this boot, the Robyn is a neat-looking touring boot with adjustability for the perfect fit and looks good with all styles of motorcycle clothing. As they are plain black they are understated so can work with most biking outfits. The stretch detailing on the front has a quilted pattern to fit in with fashionable quilted jackets.

Comfort

A big request was comfort and Frank Thomas definitely delivered. The cushioned comfort liner has a mesh lining to keep you fresh. The hook and loop fastening gives a personalised fit that can be changed with outfit changes/position changes. The stretch accordion detailing provides great freedom of movement.

The other great detail is the stacked heels for added height. This is absolutely priceless to shorter bikers, and as the sole is flat this gives greater stability and added confidence out on the bike. The Frank Thomas Robyn boots aren't just designed for bikers, the added heel height also gives greater comfort to pillion passengers in the sitting position.

Practicality

As discussed above, the added height in the Frank Thomas Robyn boots is the most practical detail about these boots! There are many more practical details such as the accordion detailing for great movement, zip and hook and loop fastening closure system for a personalised fit, the shorter styling for no calf-width problems, etc. The anti-slip oil-resistant sole, as well as subtle reflective detailing, are other practical features - in fact, this boot is essentially highly practical and is designed around that!

Negatives

While the Frank Thomas Robyn boots are water-resistant they aren't fully 100% waterproof. Plus, short boots aren't to everyone's taste and obviously don't offer full protection to the upper shins. While a fantastic touring boot, the Frank Thomas Robyn boots are definitely not suitable for a track day etc. They are highly versatile boots but they definitely wouldn't lend themselves to racing. The Robyn boots are also not ideal if you don't like a higher heel, or don't need one!

The hidden height and the customisable fit has already struck a chord with the female biking community and for good reason!
