J&S Supported Riders

Our supported riders for 2020 are now, (finally!) getting ready to race! With a very uncertain start to the 2020 racing season thanks to a certain global pandemic, we weren't actually sure if any racing was going to go ahead this year. Luckily it is - socially distanced and without crowds (for now) So without further ado here are the J&S 2020 supported riders:

Bennetts British Superbikes

Hector Barbera

#80 Hector Barbera is riding with Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW. Ex- Moto GP racer Hector will be bringing all his experience from his time in Moto GP (and some!) to the BSB so will certainly be exciting to watch! Expect great things from Hector Barbera in the British Superbikes in 2020. Hector is new to the J&S supported riders for 2020 and wears a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible suit with an Alpinestars Tech-Air race airbag.

Luke Mossey

#12 Luke Mossey is also with Rich Energy OMG Racing BMW (you can see a bit of a pattern emerging here!) 2020 is Luke's 6th season in the BSB but he also has extensive experience in other championships, even winning the British Minibike Championship every year between 1999-2003. Luke wears a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible race suit with the Alpinestars Tech Air Airbag as well as Frank Thomas A08-16 Racing gloves and Alpinestars GP Tech Racing boots - all supplied by J&S.

Glenn Irwin

#2 Glenn Irwin is riding with the official factory-backed Honda Racing team this year but, once again, is returning to the J&S supported riders team wearing Frank Thomas leathers. Glenn has an impressive CV which he hopes to add a BSB title to. With four North West 200 Superbike successes, a Macau Grand Prix victory, British Superbike race wins and a third place overall finish in the 2018 BSB series Glenn is one to watch this season after his rather volatile 2019. Graeme Irwin

#3 Met Healthcare Team 64 Kawasaki. Part of the emerging racing Irwin family dynasty, Graeme and Glenn are brothers (along with racers Andrew and Ross) Graeme was the 2017 British Motocross Champion but has now turned his talents to the BSB alongside his brother - will their close relationship give more drama to the championship? And even the J&S supported riders team? We hope so! Graeme wears a Frank Thomas made to measure kangaroo skin race suit.

Josh Owens

#65 CDH Racing. Another returnee to the J&S supported rider fold, Josh Owens is a former British 125 Champion (2015) and the 2018 Moto2 BSB Champion. He got off to a great start last year so will be an exciting watch for 2020. Joe Francis

#40 PR Racing Lloyd & Jones Bowker Motorrad BMW. Another returnee to the J&S supported team, Joe also didn't have the 2019 season he would have hoped for. His 2019 season took a positive turn towards the end of the season with 3 rounds to go when he signed with PR Racing and his results were extremely promising.....just as the season was ending. He is looking to build on that this season. Joe wears a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible race suit with the Alpinestars Tech Air Airbag as well as Frank Thomas A08-16 Racing gloves and Frank Thomas Podium Racing boots - all supplied by J&S.

Pirelli National Superstock 1000

Billy McConnell

#3 Rich Energy OMG Racing. Another of the OMG Racing team, fan favourite McConnell didn't have the 2019 he would hope for. A burst appendix and then a subsequent operation followed by an unfortunate crash which resulted in a broken collarbone scuppered his 2019 season. He is now back, ready to prove himself in 2020. He was a podium finisher in 2018 so his sights will be set on the same again. Billy wears a

Joe Collier

#11 Jones Dorling Racing Suzuki. Joe is another racer who has previously been supported by J&S and we're very glad to have him back. Joe has previous experience in Motocross, Supersport and several stock classes and was 2017 Ducati Tri-Options Champion, but its the Superstock 1000 he is returning to with his eyes on the prize in 2020. Joe wears a made-to-measure BKS D-Air Racing suit.

Lewis Rollo

#6 Incompetition Aprilia. Lewis had a great year last year in his debut Superstock 1000 year and will be looking to capitalise/improve on his already stellar record. Lewis is definitely one to watch out for - quiet and poised, his level-headedness really comes in to play out on the track. Lewis is another returnee to the J&S supported rider team and wears a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible race suit with the Alpinestars Tech Air Airbag as well as Frank Thomas A08-16 Racing gloves and BKS Evolution Pro boots - all supplied by J&S.

Quattro Group British Supersport

Ben Currie

#61 Gearlink Kawasaki. Ben is yet another racer who is continuing his J&S Supported rider status. Ben was racing in the BSB last season so will be using this experience in the 2020 season and is definitely one to look our for and tipped for great things after his 2018 success in SuperSport 600. Ben had an unfortunate 2019 with injuries so will be hoping to have a more successful 2020 season. Ben wears a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible race suit with the Alpinestars Tech Air Airbag.

Dan Jones

#44 Lloyd and Jones PR Racing FTR. Dan is a young racer with extensive race experience despite his lack of years. Racing since 2012 Dan most recently came 4th in the British Moto3 Championship with a highly impressive 10 pole positions, 7 podiums and 4 race wins. Dan will be looking to prove himself this year and will no doubt be expecting quite a few podium spots in 2020. Dan wears a Frank Thomas made-to-measure Kangaroo skin suit, Frank Thomas A08-16 Racing gloves and Frank Thomas Podium Race boots - all supplied by J&S.

Pirelli National Superstock 600

Louis Valleley

#41 Code Blue Racing. Returning to National Superstock 600 for 2020, Louis will be hoping to capitalise on his season last year. It was a closely run season and Louis will be looking to not only emulate but to improve with last season's experience under his belt. Louis was a J&S supported rider for 2019 and we are delighted to have him again for the 2020 season. Louis wears a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible race suit with the Alpinestars Tech Air Airbag as well as Frank Thomas Raptor Race gloves.

Caolan Irwin

#4 Astro-JJR Racing. Another Irwin, but not brother of Graeme or Glenn, but Caolan is the brother of Rhys who we also support. (Keep up! We sponsor two sets of brothers......both with the surname Irwin. Got it? Ok. Great.) 2018 Irish "Young racer of the year" Caolán Irwin is a proven winner both at home and abroad and his performances have marked him out as one of Ireland's most exciting motorcycle racing talents. Riding alongside his brother Rhys in the National Superstock 600, Caolan will definitely bring some excitement to the championship and is definitely one to watch. Caolan wears the BKS Apex racing suit and Frank Thomas Raptor Race gloves.

Rhys Irwin

#69 Irwin Racing/Mondello Park Yamaha. The youngest of the two brothers, Rhys Irwin is tipped to be a future motorcycle racing star. Over his relatively short career he has set the standard for young Irish racers with championship and race winning performances along with setting numerous lap records. The healthy competition between him and his brother should set him in good stead for a great result in 2020. Rhys wears the BKS Apex racing suit and Frank Thomas Raptor Race gloves.

Taylor Moreton

#89 Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki. Despite the fact that Taylor is extremely young, he is another veteran of the J&S supported riders. He was only born in 2001 but actually started racing in 2007 so has extensive experience despite not even being 20! This is his second year in the National Superstock 600 so he will be bringing his confidence from last year along for the ride and will be eyeing up wins in 2020. Taylor wears the BKS Evolution Pro suit and the Frank Thomas Raptor Race gloves.

British Junior Supersport Championship

Zak Shelton

#17 M&S Performance. 16 year old Zak is once again competing in the BSB Junior Supersport so will be bringing his experience from last year and is eyeing up more podium finishes. Zak was also a J&S supported rider last season and is back again wearing a made-to-measure Frank Thomas Tech-Air compatible race suit with the Alpinestars Tech Air Airbag as well as Frank Thomas Raptor Race gloves. and Frank Thomas Podium Race boots.

British Talent Cup

Sullivan Mounsey

#4 PR Racing Lloyd & Jones Bowker. Sullivan has been racing since he was 9 years old and is now only 12 so is still only very young. He is hoping to make a name for himself in the British Talent Cup and we believe he will do hence why hes a J&S supported rider! Sullivan wears a Frank Thomas made-to-measure Kangaroo leather suit, Frank Thomas Podium Race boots and Frank Thomas Raptor race gloves - all supplied by J&S.

Hell Performance British Junior Supersport

Osian Jones

#5 Sym Cirrus Kawasaki. 15-year-old Osian is the younger brother of Dan Jones (above) and is riding a Kawasaki Ninja 400 in the 2020 British Junior Supersport championship but is an experienced racer with many podia finishes in mini moto racing, fab and then the 2019 British Talent Cup. Osian is setting his sights on podium finishes this season and to get some more experience under his belt. Osian wears the Frank Thomas Qualifier suit.

IN Competition Aprilia

IN Competition Aprilia are a National Superstock Racing Team, with Lewis Rollo (as above) and David Allingham for the 2020 British Superbike Championship. We financially support this team and Lewis Rollo also wears Frank Thomas clothing supplied by us as described above. IN Competition have a wealth of experience and are Aprilia's flagship team within the paddock at BSB.

2020 season starts soon....

The 2020 season kicks off this weekend August 7th-9th at Donington Park. Sadly since the government rules have changed and due to Covid there will no longer be any crowds (until further notice) but you can watch it on tv and listen to it. We will also be doing a handy blog with our riders results after each race. For details of how/where to watch it look here.
