Comfort

Although the RS-400 ST jacket is made from a highly durable 600D Polyoxford fabric, this is also lightweight. The sporty cut of the jacket means the arms are pre-shaped for added comfort in the riding position with comfort fabric at the collar and cuffs. A removable Thermo lining keeps you warm and comfortable in colder weathers while a mesh lining keeps you feeling fresh in warmer temperatures. The SoltoTex Z Liner membrane is fully waterproof to keep you dry and comfortable.

Practicality

The RS-400 ST is a versatile jacket that can be used for sports riding or touring. The fact that it is 100% waterproof and breathable is a practical feature - very necessary for British Summers! The fact that the Thermo lining can be removed is another. A plethora of pockets provide handy storage with two outside pockets and three inside pockets. All the armour is removable for washing your jacket. Reflective detailing is incorporated into the design of the RS-400 ST for enhanced visibility at night. The rear of the jacket is longer to prevent wind chill and ingress in the riding position plus adjustability at the waist, collar, cuffs and arms provide the perfect fit! It also zips to matching IXS items.

Negatives

Because the RS-400 ST is a sportier styled jacket, it can fall short in touring. If you're looking for a touring-specific jacket this is not the jacket for you. The RS-400 is more of a sports jacket with the added bonus of being waterproof for the odd touring trip. The shorter styling does mean less weather protection in terrible conditions.

Verdict

A great and practical jacket for all sports bike owners. It is comfortable to just throw on in all weathers and comes in a choice of colours with something for everyone! Another added bonus is the new reduced price!
