Donate to Ukraine
Our warehouse is based in Finedon in Northamptonshire. We wanted to help in the humanitarian response to the war in Ukraine and found out about a donation centre in Kettering. The generosity and hard work from the volunteers there, and no doubt at the rest of the drop off centres across the UK, Europe and the world, was heartwarming and hopefully will bring some relief, warmth, comfort and hope to the millions of Ukrainians in a terrible situation right now.
If you would like to donate items then please read this article on where the donation centres are across the UK: https://www.countryliving.com/uk/news/a39274528/ukraine-donation-drop-off-points-uk/
The GOV.UK website also shares details about how you can help .
If you log on to the Nectar website , (the Nectar points site) you can donate points to Comic Relief to help support those affected by the devastating war in Ukraine. Sainsbury's themselves will be matching any points donations up to the value of £500,000.

The British Red Cross are part of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) which unites 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialists in different areas of disaster response. The DEC launches appeals during times of monumental suffering, which is the case in Ukraine right now. and you can donate to their Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal here . Your donation will be used to reach people in urgent need, including: • Providing food, first aid, clean water, shelter support, warm clothing, hygiene parcels and medicines • Supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities • Supporting firefighters and civil protection units • Training people up in life-saving first aid • Helping families stay in contact with each other • Educating people on the risks of explosives • Repairing vital infrastructure • Helping to repair homes, healthcare centres, schools and community centres
The Red Cross has been supporting people affected by this conflict for years, and will not stop now. The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), together with fellow Red Cross National Societies in border countries, are working to get vital help to those impacted by this crisis.
So far, Red Cross teams in Ukraine have distributed over 30,000 food and hygiene parcels and provided food, warm clothes, and other aid to around 8,000 people sheltering in metro stations.
First aid training has also been delivered to over 2,000 people taking cover in metro stations and bomb shelters, so they have the skills to treat their loved ones if needed.
could provide a hygiene kit to a family of five, giving them supplies to stay healthy for a month
could provide five blankets to families taking shelter
could provide 40 chlorine tablets to ensure that families have access to clean, safe water
could provide sleeping mats for 66 people who have been forced from their homes
could provide a fully equipped first aid kit, including supplies, to a first aider treating those wounded
Oxfam is also part of the DEC - you can donate through their website here . Your donation could help provide people with essential items like food, water and warm clothing. Oxfam hopes to provide vulnerable families with hygiene equipment to keep themselves clean and safe from disease. Your donation means Oxfam can work with organisations that are already working in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to help meet the needs of people who have already lost so much. For every £1 you donate to this emergency appeal, Oxfam will allocate 9p of your donation to cover general support and running costs. There is a small chance that Oxfam will raise more money than is needed for this appeal. If this happens, they'll spend any additional funds on other Oxfam projects – wherever the need is greatest.
You can also donate via Unicef here . We have been working tirelessly to keep children safe since this conflict began eight years ago and we are determined to remain in Ukraine to reach the most vulnerable children and families.
Until next time, stay safe.
