Safety

Firstly, despite its casual look, the Alpinestars Chrome Sport Hoodie is CE Certified with Alpinestars CE Bio Light Protectors at the shoulders and elbows for superior impact resistance. The knitted fabric outer is soft to the touch - but don't let that fool you! IT is highly durable and features an Aramid inner lining for superior abrasion resistance. It does not come with a back protector - but it comes equipped with a back protector pocket.

Styling

What is so good about this jacket, and most likely the reason it sells so well is it doesn't look like your typical motorcycle jacket. It looks like a normal casual hoodie - you would never suspect it's as protective as it is just by looking at it. The casual hoodie styling looks great on and off the bike - with a lot of our customers using it for a casual jacket when not on the bike! Comfort

It looks extremely comfortable - and looks do not deceive here! The soft-to-the-touch outer is comfortable on your skin and ribbed sections at the cuffs and waist allow for a personalised fit that prevents weather ingress and allows for fluid freedom of movement for excellent comfort in the riding position. The hood is another comfortable feature and this also features excellent windproofing and water repellency.

Practicality

The hood is removable for those who get distracted by it flapping around at high speeds - or just prefer the look of the jacket without it. The armour is removable for washing - or for streetwear. It offers water repellency and a waterproof inner document pocket for safe storage of your valuables and the drawstring at the hood allows for a personalised fit. The rear is longer to prevent wind ingress in the riding position and elastication in key areas gives excellent freedom of movement and superior comfort.

Negatives

I had to really ask around for a negative on this as here at J&S HQ it's a popular jacket! If you are tall or have a very long body, it may be quite short in the body for you - which if you're 6 ft 4 you're probably not unused to. Another negative is despite the water repellency it is not waterproof.
