Alpinestars T-GP Plus R V2 Air Jacket

Available in an Air version and the "normal" non-air version - the Alpinestars T-GP Plus R V2 Air textile motorcycle jacket offers a sports fit with classic Alpinestars design - but what else does it have to offer?

Safety

Safety-wise, the T-GP Plus R V2 offers a highly durable and abrasion-resistant 600D polyester construction with mesh panels on the chest and arms for superior airflow. This also provides lightweight CE-approved armour at the shoulders and elbows, a removable foam back protector (upgradeable) as well as external TPU protectors at the shoulders for added impact resistance. Furthermore, reflective detailing maximises night visibility, and contrasting white against the main black chassis provides superior visual impact during the day for added safety.

Styling

As you would expect from Alpinestars, it looks and feels great. With a classic sporty Alpinestars design and the classic Alpinestars logo emblazoned on the chest with more subtle Alpinestars branding throughout, it definitely looks the part. The TPU protectors, despite being a safety feature, also have the Alpinestars design on to add to the aesthetic. Classic black and white never goes out of style.

Comfort

If you've ever been sweating away in your leathers/non-breathable textile jacket in baking hot weather, then you will know how comfy this jacket will be! For Summer, this offers superior comfort. Of course, you wouldn't want to be riding mid-December with it on, but for the warmer weather - or climates - this is fantastic comfort-wise. It offers an ergonomic fit for added comfort in the riding position and a comfortable 3D mesh collar. Adjustability at the waist and cuffs provide the perfect fit, and a lower rear profile gives lumbar coverage and prevents wind ingress and comfort!

Practicality

A long zip connects to Alpinestars jeans, and this comes with a waterproof internal pocket and reflective detailing for added night visibility. The armour is fully removable and features adjustability for the perfect fit.

Negatives

A CE back protector is not included - you may have a strap on to the body one, in which case you wouldn't want one - or you can easily buy an upgrade from us! The only other thing we could think to say about it in a negative light is that it isn't Alpinestars Tech-Air compatible - although when I say that, I mean it isn't explicitly designed to be Tech-Air ready like a lot of the new Alpinestars jackets - but actually anything can have the Tech-Air fitted - you just need five cms of room across the upper body area.
