Safety

The Lindstrands Luxor Laminated 2-layer jacket utilises Hi-Art reinforcements with Teflon coating, which provide six times more strength and more abrasion resistance than normal for extensive protection. In addition, adjustable Level 2 CE Approved armour at the shoulders and elbows provide valuable protection in vulnerable areas while extensive reflective detailing maximises night visibility. Adjustability throughout gives a great fit and ensures the armour stays in the correct position for maximum safety.

Styling

There is no denying the Luxor jacket looks fit for the part. The adventure touring styling is sleek and stylish whilst remaining practical. The design incorporates reflective striping as part of the aesthetic. As the Luxor is suitable for all seasons, there are many zips and pockets. These are welded to prevent water ingress but are all black and blend in as part of the jacket's design. The elbows feature added abrasion resistance on the outside of the jacket, but again, these are incorporated into the design seamlessly and bed up, enhancing the look of the jacket.

Comfort

The Outlast comfort inner liner not only regulates your temperature to keep you comfortable at all times but is ultra-comfortable. This can also be zipped out easily to reveal a full mesh liner for comfort in warmer weather to enhance air circulation. Adjustability at the neck, waist, cuffs, elbows, shoulders, and base gives the perfect personalised fit to make this jacket fit you. The outer of the jacket is 2-layer laminated, meaning the water beads off you. Still, the Luxor also features a Dryway plus laminated waterproof membrane, ensuring maximum dryness at all times. Little features such as a storm zip cover and collar also prevent water ingress, along with waterproof welded zips at vents and pockets.

Practicality

A Dryway plus laminated waterproof membrane and Outlast thermal liner along with zippable air vents mean this jacket is suitable for year-round riding. Adjustability throughout, and I mean throughout, provides the perfect fit, and it zips to matching trousers to prevent any uncomfortable weather ingress. A storm zip cover and collar prevents water ingress, along with an extended rear to prevent wind ingress. The thermal liner is removable while the lining is meshed to promote excellent air circulation. A plethora of pockets provides ample storage. The armour is fully removable too.

Negatives

It is only available in black, grey or black and grey - so you'd best like those two colours. Although it is hardly the brightest of colourways, luckily, it features extensive reflective detailing so you stay visible. But, of course, only being available in black hardly didn't do Henry Ford any harm. Another negative is that the Luxor does not come with a back protector - most people strap back protectors directly to themselves, so it's hardly a big hardship. Still, there is a pocket for a back protector, and we sell protectors compatible with the Luxor.

Verdict

An all-singing, all-dancing jacket that is suitable for all seasons. With a saving of £200 at J&S, you'd be mad not to consider it when looking for a new jacket.
