MoniMoto MM5 GPS Tracker System

Practicality

The Monimoto MM5 GPS Tracker System is straightforward and highly effective. It instantly alerts you if any unauthorised movement is detected. You place the device (the same size as a handlebar grip) in a concealed place on your bike and pair it up with the Monimoto app on your smartphone. The Monomoto Tracker system has its own power supply, so you don't run down the battery on your bike and comes with a pre-installed SIM card with two months of free GSM roaming. Easy to use quick to install, this gives you peace of mind. It also comes with a 2-month free subscription, and then this costs 3 Euros a month - for complete peace of mind. The MM5 works throughout the EU plus some other countries, and it is also possible to use your own SIM card if necessary. It comes with a 2-year warranty and also requires 2 x CR123A batteries. One device can have up to 3 owners (proximity keys) 1 owner can have an unlimited number of devices and manage all of them from one app. The box contains 1 x Minimoto device 126x35mm, 1 x Monimoto key fob 41x10mm, 2 x releasable zip ties, 2 x CR123A batteries for Minimoto device, 1 x CR2450 battery for Monimoto key fob and 1 x micro-sized international SIM card with two months free subscription. After that, it is £36 a year.

Styling

Subtle and sleek in styling - the key to this design is subtlety for concealment. It is lightweight and designed to be easy to conceal. The primary tracking device measures 126x35mm, and the key fob measures 41x10mm for minimal weight and impact. Not a lot can be said about the look of the item as this isn't the point - it is muted for a good reason!

Negatives

Check the dimensions given above to make sure it will fit with your bike - it fits 99% of motorcycles easily - but we have had a few instances of customers, especially with sports bikes, who have had some issues. So another good piece of advice with the MM5 is to check how it works first. Read the instructions carefully. If you wing it and find out that it's not suitable for you and how you want to use it, but you've already set up the warranty, contact details etc., then you cannot return it - once you have set it up, then it's yours.

Verdict

For peace of mind, this is a fantastic buy! With motorcycle theft on the rise, this device allows you to know where your pride and joy is at all times. It's easy to set up, works really well, is simple to access and is cheap compared to other items available on the market. It is excellent—worth buying for yourself or as a gift.

Until next time, stay safe,

Alex
