Safety

The CE-certified RST S1 CE WP motorcycle sports boot offers excellent protection but won't break the bank! The lightweight Microfibre construction is ultra-lightweight yet highly durable with TPU protection at the heel, ankles and shins with polycarbonate anti-twist midsole and toe sliders. These also offer a reinforced toe box, dual-density anti-slip outsole and a gear change reinforcement pad—a zip with hook and loop fastening provides a secure closure that can be personalised.

Styling

RST have managed to design a boot that looks at home on the track, but also while touring - the perfect blend! A sports touring boot available in a choice of colours as long as it's black. Subtle reflective RST branding maximises night visibility without detracting from the sleek design. Accordion details in key areas provide fantastic movement but, again, look at home as part of the design with PU armour and toe-sliders, again in pure black, adding a high level of protection but not too much visually. The pure black keeps the S1 CE WP simple yet stylish.

Comfort

The RST S1 CE WP boot is waterproof - and we all know the feeling of having soaking wet feet while out on the bike - not comfortable! Dry feet aside, even without this, the S1 CE boot is made from ultra-lightweight Microfibre which is extremely comfortable with accordion detailing in all crucial areas for outstanding comfort not only in the riding position but off the bike too! It is CE certified and with that features armoured areas throughout - yet this doesn't make the boots heavy nor cumbersome - considering the amount of protection the S1 CE WP boot offers, it is exceptionally lightweight!

Practicality

How much more practical does a boot need to be? It is suitable for sports and touring - it is CE certified and it's waterproof. It's black - so goes with anything - and is lightweight so suitable for use in Summer, yet waterproof so suitable for use in wet conditions aka British Summer. The toe sliders come off so can be replaced and an adjustable hook and loop and zip closure system allow a personalised fit.

Negatives

The RST S1 CE WP boots are touted as an entry-level boot - if you're after an all-singing, all-dancing race boot with an inner boot and Moto-GP usage this is not the boot for you. They are made from microfibre and not leather - which isn't necessarily a negative as lots of new boots are made from Microfibre or Lorica now rather than leather - and this is certainly a bonus if you are after a Vegan boot - but in extreme heat, they can be not as breathable as a leather boot. Plastic toe sliders are also not for everyone - some people prefer metal - but for the price, you really cannot complain!

Verdict

A fantastically versatile boot for the money. If you buy these boots you will be happy with them - guaranteed.
