Sidi were hand crafting hiking and ski boots when a motocross agent asked the company to make some specialist MX boots. After asking the great racers Giuseppe Cavallero and Emilio Ostorero about what they needed their boots to do, Sidi launched their specially designed motocross boots. Following the success of these, Sidi worked with Giacomo Agostini to expand their range to include race boots. Sidi does not outsource any part of its production; all Sidi motorcycle and MX boots are still made in its own factories.
