AGV Pista GP-R Helmet Rossi Mugello 2017 Ltd

This is a limited-edition replica of Valentino Rossi's 2017 Mugello helmet. Rossi has a history of creating helmets to honour his heroes, and this is no exception; the design is a tribute to Italian footballer Francesco Totti, who had just retired. There is also a more emotional tribute as the number on the helmet is 469 - a blend of Rossi's 46 and Nicky Hayden's 69. Hayden was Rossi's old teammate and had just died following a cycling accident. This replica helmet is being produced in AGV's premium Pista GP-R helmet range. The Pista GP-R is AGV's top-of-the-range, carbon fibre racing helmet, essentially the same helmet that Valentino Rossi uses in races. An evolution of the Pista GP helmet, this is AGV's most protective helmet yet. The outer shell is 100% carbon fibre, making it extremely light with an unmatched safety performance. The helmet's shape is designed to minimise any interference with the racing suit in the tucked position and has been wind tunnel tested for aerodynamic performance. The larger, biplane, multi-wing spoiler is engineered to detach in the event of an accident, increasing safety by maintaining the helmet's round shape, whilst internally, the cheek pads have a new patented safety release system. The racing heritage of the AGV Pista GP-R Helmet is obvious with the MotoGP-developed hydration system, which runs across the bottom of the helmet and has internal channels for the tubing and a drinking valve placed inside the chin. This is connected to a hydration system in your race suit and is removable if not required. The new, anti-scratch, Class 1 Optic visor has an anti-fog Max Vision Pinlock fitted and is supplied with a tear-off kit ready for the track. AGV's patented Visor Lock System (VLS) ensures total sealing and reduces the risk of the visor opening in the event of an accident. Internally the removeable, washable inner liner is fashioned from high-performance, anti-bacterial, moisture-wicking fabrics with no stitching in any sensitive areas for a very comfortable fit. The AGV Pista GP-R Helmet is supplied with different-sized crowns and cheek pads for the rider to customise the fit and positioning of their head. The Pista GP-R has AGV's IVS (Integrated Ventilation System) with five large front inlet vents, two rear extractors, and air channels hollowed into the shell for maximum airflow to the rider's head. New chin channels aid de-misting by distributing the airflow over the entire visor surface. As you would expect in a race helmet, the strap is held by a Double D retention system.
