An Alpinestars racing-engineered jacket optimised for sports bike and naked sports bike riders with extensive race-derived features, technology and materials, the Alpinestars Atem V5 (the fifth version of this jacket with improvement) offers the Alpinestars dedicated "Race fit" with pre-curved arms and Alpinestars Flex Plus' Race' leather throughout. The Alpinestars Flex Plus bovine 'Race' leather construction is 10% lighter than regular bovine leather while delivering 80% more adaptability for superior freedom of movement, an ultra-adaptive race fit, and enhanced abrasion and tear resistance. 3D pattern body mapping gives an improved 'race' fit. Dual-density DFS RR, shoulder and elbow protectors provide superior friction control. The Atem V5 is Tech-Air 5 and Tech-Air 3 ready. Hook and loop neck closure with a sizeable built-in flap for security and ergonomic hook and loop cuffs with zipped sleeves on the forearm give ease of use. A streamlined speed hump gives enhanced aerodynamic performance and enhanced ventilation and can accommodate a hydration pouch (sold separately). The low-profile sports collar construction offers superior rider comfort and improved aerodynamic performance. A waterproof inner compartment gives safe and secure storage of valuables. Two zipped external side pockets provide storage, and a mesh interior comfort liner with pockets to accommodate a back protector or a split chest protector is a handy addition. It is cut longer on the back for greater coverage in the riding position and to prevent wind ingress; plus, this has a 3/4 waist zip for a secure connection with Alpinestars pants.
