Founded in 1963, Alpinestars developed the first motocross boot in 1965. Development continued at pace, with the company producing boots for all forms of motorcycling, road and off-road, competitive use and leisure; they then graduated to all clothing, too and continue to this day, to be at the forefront of motocross clothing technology and development. The Alpinestars Missile black leather motorcycle jacket is constructed from premium full-grain cowhide and is compatible with the Alpinestars Tech-Air Race airbag system. Highly durable stretch fabric panels and elasticated accordion leather give maximum freedom of movement and feel when riding. Protection is provided by CE-approved armour at the shoulders and elbow, with a pocket for a back protector (sold separately). There are also external moulded TPU protectors at the shoulders and Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) sliders on the elbows. The aerodynamic race hump helps improves performance and completes the racing look. There are two external zipped pockets and a waterproof internal pocket. The Alpinestars Missile black leather motorbike jacket has pre-curved arms for increased rider comfort and has a 360 zip to attach to matching Alpinestars leather motorcycle jeans. Note: The Alpinestars Tech-Air Race airbag vests can be purchased separately in-store as they must be registered to each rider. The matching pants comes with a reinforced seat area, strengthened stitching, and ample stretch panelling. The legs feature replaceable sport knee sliders, and replaceable foam hip pad inserts provide comfort and additional impact protection (a CE-certified hip protector is available as an accessory). Stretchable poly-fabric panels on the inside leg and crotch and accordion leather stretch zones above the knee provide the Alpinestars leather trousers with flexibility and comfort. The high rear waist construction provides greater overlap with the riding jacket to ensure maximum coverage of the body. The lining of the Alpinestars Missile Pants is removable and washable, and a zipped calf expansion can be adjusted to various lower leg sizes. The waist features both Velcro and D-ring closure, and a connection zip allows the Alpinestars leather trousers to be attached to a range of Alpinestars riding jackets.
