Arai Tour-X5 Helmet Trail Yellow

The Arai Tour-X5 Trail helmet is a completely redesigned version of the Tour-X helmet, packed with new features. A significant change is the visor and visor system. Derived from the VAS-V system designed for the RX-7V race helmet, this has been designed to maximise the "Glancing-Off performance" with more surface area to glance off impact energy. The visor has been redesigned for increased visibility and is a Max Vision visor that is Pinlock ready (Pinlock insert included) and is easy to switch without tools. The visor gives versatility for adventure, off-road or on-road versions. Another area with significant improvements is ventilation. The Tour-X 5 features a 3D logo duct complemented with the new AR spoiler, the Delta Duct 6 and a new chin vent. The inner vent gate flows air to the mouth or visor for increased defogging. As with any Arai model, ventilation parts like the 3D Logo Duct, AR Spoiler and Delta Duct 6 are made to break off during an impact for maximum Glancing Off performance and head protection. The interior is fully removable, with an adjustable pad at the rear of the crown pad. A redesigned nose deflector makes use with goggles easy, and FCS cheek pads will give a supportive and protective fit both on- and off-road. Chin pad covers are removable and washable. It is ultra-lightweight thanks to Arai's PB-CLC2 (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction). A specially designed "mechanically expanded fibre mat" sandwiched between the inner and outer layers of Arai's proprietary Super Fibre Laminates is used to reinforce and bond these two Super Fibre layers without adding significant weight to the helmet. The latest "Z-Mixture" resins increase material adhesion, requiring less resin for a stronger bond between materials for a thinner and lighter shell. The peak gives more effective ventilation with increased high-speed flow-through performance for an excellent range of adjustability for blocking the sun. It is more resistant to buffering for a more streamlined and aerodynamic ride. The Tour-X 5 shell flares 5mm on each side (10mm total), making getting the helmet on and off easier for superior comfort and convenience.ECE 22:06 certified.
