Ctek Comfort Indicator product information

The CTEK Status / Comfort Indicator Plug is used to show you when your battery status decreases and needs to be charged, aiding with prolonging your batteries life through proper maintenance and charging. Simply attach the status plugs permanently to your battery. When the LEDs on the plug indicate that your battery needs maintenance charging, simply plug your CTEX smart charger directly into the Status Indicator Plug. Green LED means that the battery is OK and does not need to be charged. Yellow LED means that the battery should be charged to avoid stratification. Red LED means that the battery needs charging to be able to start the vehicle. This prevents stratification. The harmful stratifying process within a battery starts when the battery voltage drops below 90% of the full battery capacity. When the battery is kept under charged, it loses capacity prematurely, shortening its life. Controlling the battery level continuously and smart charging when needed will prolong the life expectancy of the battery and save you money in the long run!
