J&S Oakmere Bike Night for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity

J&S Accessories Oakmere held a bike night on April 17th 2024 in aid of a fantastic cause - the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

For those who don't know, the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre provides specialist cancer treatment for many of these people through its unique network of care across the region, caring for a population of 2.4 million people. There are over 100,000 people living with cancer in Merseyside & Cheshire.

We run bike nights at our J&S Oakmere site in association with Howard Gill, who historically in the North West has raised a massive amount for many local (and national) charities over the years - this is a cause close to his heart and many of our staff and patrons. If you attended the event and didn't get a chance to donate - or even if you didn't attend but want to donate, please donate here

As well as The Clatterbridge charity, Shoei helmets came in their race truck to service everyone's Shoei helmets - free of charge! Nevis marketing also came to show the latest Shark Helmets as did Bike It, who were showcasing their products. Pama International attended, showing people how to fit and use the Cardo Intercom systems. David Knight MBE (5 x Enduro World Champion) was also in attendance, launching his brand new products - Knightwash 101 bike wash and bike shine.

RJH Motorcycles, the on-site motorcycle training school, were answering people's questions about CBTs and training and even donated a free CBTto our raffle for free with all ticket money going to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity.

Two other charities came on the night, the brand new charity DocBike Cheshire who are the brand new branch of the charity DocBike  working to eradicate motorcycle deaths through engagement, injury prevention, education and roadside critical care.

The local Winsford St Lukes Hospice were also in attendance selling their raffle tickets.

Thank you to EVERYONE who came and donated and to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle with every penny raised going to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. We raised a massive £972.51 on the night!! Thank you SO much!

The next bike night at Oakmere is June 26th 5-8PM. It is free to attend. We would love to see you there. This time, we are raising money for Claire House in honour of the great Howard Gill, whom we are proud to organise these bike nights.

Until next time, stay safe!
