The Hiplok D1000 was the world's first portable anti-angle grinder bike lock. The D1000 uses Ferosafe, a graphene reinforced ceramic composite, which is a high performing, patented, material that has been specifically designed to disintegrate angle grinder cutting wheels and carbide tipped drills. The D1000's square profile hardened steel core protects against other attack methods such as bolt croppers and the rubberised outer surface prevents the bike frame from being scratched. Designed primarily for bicycles and E-bikes, with a locking area of 155mm x 92mm, the D1000 can also be used on some motorcycles.
