Shoei has been developing this helmet for the last few years as the evolution of their outstanding Neotec helmet. The Shoei Neotec 2 outer shell is manufactured using Shoei's patented AIM construction, a mix of organic and multi-composite fibres in layers for a shock-absorbent shell with optimum rigidity - the same technology and composition that Shoei uses on their race helmets. The flip-up mechanism has been improved significantly. Shoei's innovative stainless-steel pivot two-stage locking system means that the helmet is both P and J rated, meaning it can be worn legally in the open position when riding. Internally, the Shoei Neotec 2 has a dual-density EPS inner shell for different impact absorption levels, and the cheek pads, centre pad and chinstrap cover are all removable and washable. Ventilation is improved with adjustable inlets at the chin and crown with two permanently opened exhaust vents on the rear. The visor is fitted with Pinlock's 'Evo' insert - the best performing anti-fogging insert they make. The Shoei Neotec 2 is pre-prepared for Sena's intercom system, ensuring it fits flush with no protruding parts. This quality motorcycle helmet's top specification adds a better closing neck skirt and a well-engineered chin curtain to reduce wind noise, an internal drop-down sun visor, and a ratchet retention system. The Shoei Neotec 2 flip-front motorcycle helmet is also available in other colourways and graphics - this is the Jaunt graphic in the TC-1 design is predominantly red.
